Yes they do accept credit cards
There is not any inside dining just outside with some table under tents
No ... First come first serve.
They are usually open limited hours in the early fall. But close for the winter. They usually post a schedule on their Facebook page once it starts getting colder.
Thu Fri sat Sun Mon
Not on the lake but very close.
Don't let the roadside stand appearance fool you, this is real Seafood. It is more expensive than fast food, and the wait can be 15 to 45 minutes, depending upon how long the line is, but it was delicious and the portions were plentiful !
Great food, reasonable prices
We used to love this place, and ate here a lot in past years. Towards the end of last year the food quality wasn't as good as usual, but we didn't think much of it as it was the end of the season and figured everyone was just worn out. Went for our first time back this year and food was okay, but not great. Seafood was very fresh, which is one of the reasons we loved it in the past. However, there was grit in my clam chowder, and my husband's clams were gritty as well. My husband's shrimpnwas overcooked as well. Food was also greasier than how it used to be. My mom ordered her food right after we did and hers wasn't ready until half an hour after ours so that was not great either. Really disappointed, and not sure we will be back any time soon.
The hot lobster roll is so fresh and delicious
Old picnic table that was dirty and grounds were dirty Staff was not wiping down the tables or picking up stuff on the ground around the tables. Not my kind of place
A favorite stop when in this area, delicious seafood in New England tradition. I love the people who run this place, they are conscientious about checking all ingredients when you mention an allergy, and very kind. I even dropped my wallet in their parking lot a couple of years back, and they found a way to call me first thing in the morning, all my cash and valuables were still there. I love the lemonade, the calamari, the lobster rolls and the chowder. They also sell pet treats and interesting condiments out of the little shop, there. Limited parking out front. Enjoy some seafood before a walk at the nearby Little Pond Trail, at White Memorial.
Just had the West Shore wedge salad with shrimp special and it was delicious!
Loved it, had a great time. It's BYOB and only outdoor seating. The softshell crab po boy was delicious. As was the jumbo shrimp and tuna...and everything I tasted. It's nothing fancy, but it's good. All cooked to order so you will have to wait a little for the food, but worth it.
Great seafood, very fresh and tasty, quick service.
Great food, casual outdoor dining. My cod fish was very fresh. Was told there would be a half hour wait for our food. We waited over an hour-slow service.
I have been here twice and have been disappointed both times. First time I was told it was because the kitchen was new. I waited a few weeks and gave them another try but am still disappointed. My lobster roll was dry and the bun looked like it was punched before the lobster was half heartedly sprinkled around it. It's a shame because I live down the street and have heard nothing but good things from other people. Don't think I'll be back a third time.
Very good place for fresh seafood take out. Nice outdoor seating with a large tent for shade. Took a while to get our food but it was worth the wait.
Exceptional seafood. Beautiful outdoor dining to watch the sunset over the meadow at picnic tables. Dinner was perfect. Fresh seafood at it's best made by the kindest people.
Best Boston style seafood in CT Great out door seating Great seafood. You must try it
Got there just after 12pm and there was already a half hour wait for food. They had a bean bag game that helped pass the time but with one window to order it is a slow process. The fried clams were mostly delicious. There were some mushy batter clumps but overall they were tasty. The calamari was not so great. The batter did not stick. The fried fish was very good. The combo platter was $26 and enough to share, except the coleslaw which is a tiny container. I would order 2 meals it's probably a better deal. Nice picnic table outdoor seating so a fun place on a nice day.
Nice family/friends/or date outdoor hangout. BYOB. Not a fast food place so depending on time & crowd you wait BUT the food is delicious. Light breading not greasy or heavy. The only reason im giving a 4 is because i wanted the lobster chowder and was told it would not be ready so i ordered clam chowder and it was all potatoes and one piece of clam. but my fish tacos and clam strips made up for the loss. Def worth trying
it is good inexpensive food but i would rather go to a sit down restaurant and not wait to try find a seat to sit down .and all your food does not come out at same time so you are eating and everybody else at your table is not.it is a overcrowded outdoor restaurant.
We arrived at this place for a meeting. This place was recommended to us by a friend. Well, we were not disappointed. The staff were very polite and we had an excellent feeling. The meal was delicious. We enjoyed every moment and we shall definitely come back again. Highly recommended.
3.5 actually. I wanted to love this place but the first trip didn't sell me. I had the fried shrimp = great, fried clam strips = big disappointment and fried scallops = great. 3.5 stars because any good seafood place should be able to knock fried clams out of the park. I will give it one more try eventually and maybe I'll adjust my review.
Ordered take out, an hour later went to pick it up and had to wait another half hour for the order. Numerous people also waiting for their orders. Guess you can tell that #1 because of this Covid-19 many people are doing takeout, #2 this place is very reputable for their food. I am not complaining about the wait, it was worth it, but just check your order before you head home. They did not give me an item I paid for so I called them up and they refunded me the amount, luckily it wasn't a main item, just a salad. Food is always good!!
Don't be in a hurry and you will have a good experience. Food is great and prices are fair . It is a byob so go with a few friends, take your time and have fun. We brought a tablecloth and cushions for the chairs . We also brought our own plastic wine glasses and a candle to set the table. You have to dress it up and you will enjoy it more. Good fun.
Great place to blow your week's pay on an amazing lobster roll. No, seriously.
Laid back vibe- like a shoreline seafood shack but in the Litchfield hills. Food is good and reasonably priced. Byob is a bonus (unless you like paying restaurant prices for drinks/wine) very casual- order at the counter and eat under the canopy or out back. A local favorite.
Great food limited parking. Not really an issue but with a full size truck can be tough.
Best fresh seafood around and fun atmosphere..this is a must go to destination!
Excellent fresh Food and fast service at great prices... Will BE BACK...!!!
Just a great hidden gem! Wonderful New England fish fries!
We love this place in the summer. Nothing like working outside all day to get you hungry and coming to west shore for an amazing meal you know wont disappoint.
Great place to eat fresh seafood in an outdoor area, BYOB (or wine!) and enjoy a relaxing summer evening!
This place is so good in every way. And the prices wernt bad either. We will be going back soon.
Damn good food near the lake
The food was good service was very kind
Been buying seafood here for years because of the quality. I realize that all businesses need to adopt, however seems an odd business model when you are unable to purchase seafood when you are standing outside. I did as asked calling while outside with no answer. So I did what most typical customers would request... "Would you please just tell them (50 feet away) what i need?"Nope, could not do that had to be on the phone, only taking retail sandwich order outside... Huh? Guess its a fast food place now, not seafood. Lost me as a customer...
Decent experience. Fish and chips were very good. Coleslaw was nothing but vinegar. I wouldn't go back. Bit on the high priced side
I live just down the road unfortunately I haven't had too much of their food but what I've had has been good
Went to eat lunch at this restaurant with husband. He got shrimp/scallops wrap and I got fish tacos. I got 2 tiny Taco's with small pieces of fish and some cabbage+some corn. Was ridiculous little for $10. Husbandused to love this wrap, was a lot smallere than last year. We are very disappointed. To expensive and to little. Will not go back there.
Delicious food... outdoor dining is nice
great spot for summer sunset seafood meal. really need to get there by 6pm to avoid long wait for food. could use a proper bathroom structure as opposed to the permanent porto-potty
I ordered some popcorn fish for the kids and an order of baked cod for myself. You have to wait a few minutes because they actually freshly cook your food.Everything tasted great. I tried some of the kids popcorn fish and it was real fish. I got the veggies and some fries with my order of cod. The portion was a big portion because it was enough for me to consider a full meal. I would rate the cod 4.5/5 and the popcorn fish 5/5.I’ll definitely try this place again soon and see if their other items are just as good.
Great place for seafood, we felt like we were on the cape! The shrimp tacos are delicious! Also the cajun popcorn fish(cod) was so fresh!
Great food, esp the tacos! Best to call in your order. If not, you could wait 45 min or more!! Btw..bring your wine etc!!
The BEST SEAFOOD around!! Worth the wait for made to order entree.
Delicious, fresh lobster tools and nice servers.
Stopped for lunch after touring the Litchfield Distillery. Fish was really good; chips were a little soggy. Honeymoon tacos were excellent, as were the crab cakes. Stop here and eat with the locals!
Awesome seafood stand that the locals patronize regularly. Hot or cold lobster rolls and a variety of other delectable fresh fresh fresh seafood choices and some non-seafood options. Counter order and sit outside on a picnic table under a tent or in the sun. Try the fries with chowder on top, sounds weird but it surprisingly works (like fries with gravy).
I'm from Florida some very good friends took me there for a treat boy was it ever a treat it was awesome the food was absolutely delicious and good portions if you are in the mood for seafood this is a place to go
This. Place. Is. Awesome. The people who complain about the wait are cray-cray. It takes time to make good food. I highly recommend this place!
Good clam chowder, the three lobster roll Thursday special was great, the warm rolls were the best, and the fried onion strings were crisp and light. Lots of selection and a busy place.
Nice, relaxing, casual (or take out) sea food restaurant. Not cheap. Usual selection of lobster salad, crab cakes, fish and chips etc. lobster salad was $19. Had a good smoking lobster and not too much mayonnaise. Two sizes of fish and chips - $10 or $17. Small size contained one decent sized piece of fish. They also have chicken sandwiches etc. Service seemed slow. I know the corona virus is causing havoc but 40 minute wait when there didn’t seem to be that many people seemed slow. Other time I went, there was an hour wait.
Food was great. Called in order ahead and picked it up. Took about 30 minutes to prepare. The place was pretty packed at dinner time on a Wednesday evening. They have some non-alcoholic drinks for sale but otherwise people bring their own. Once you pick up your food, you can either take it home or eat at the picnic tables on site.
